Anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder workshop April 2 (03/06/2013)
Anxiety disorders are the most common psychiatric illnesses in the U.S. Individuals with OCD experience thoughts that never stop and rituals that need to be completed. These symptoms can prevent people from living lives of peace and harmony. Dr. Hittner will explain how these thoughts and behaviors affect daily life with high levels of anxiety. She will talk about ways to keep these thoughts from controlling your life or the lives of family and friends. She will also present the current research regarding managing these symptoms and regaining a wholesome life. This workshop will be held from 7:00 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at WSU Pasteur Hall Room 133. Students may register for free at the door. Directions: Enter 8th and Winona Street doors, go straight down the hall, after going up the ramp turn left and follow the signs. To register, mail in registration, register on-line at www.winona.k12.mn.us or come into the Community Education Office, 317 Market Street. Questions? Call Helen at (507) 494-0905. Cosponsored by Project COMPASS, a Winona Area Public School Community Education program, WSU Department of Nursing and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)-Winona Affiliate.
