The Winona Arts Center presents Influenced by Rockwell Kent; works created in response to the Rockwell Kent Festival from March 13 – April 30. The Rockwell Kent Festival, held in Winona in February to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Kent’s stay in Winona and his influence on the arts, was a point of departure for students in the Printmaking, 3-D Design, and Creative Writing courses to create works of their own. Twenty-four students made relief prints or pop-up book pages and six wrote poetry influenced by various aspects of Kent’s artwork or life that spoke to them.
