Rose Ann (Pellowski) Fabian of Winona, Minn., died Sunday evening, March 10, 2013, of COPD, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn.
Rose was born on May 3, 1934, in Dodge, Wis., to Frank Pellowski and Genevieve (Maliszewski) Pellowski. Rose married Kermit Fabian on September 27, 1958. They lived in Utica, Minn., until moving to Lewiston, Minn., in 1969. Rose moved to Winona, Minn., in 2003 and then to Mendota Heights with her daughter, Deb, in December 2012. Rose worked at TRW in Winona, Minn., from 1971-2009, and Winona State University from 2009-2011. She had a self employed cleaning service, cleaning offices for several local businesses in Lewiston for many years. She retired in 2009.
Rose loved her family. She never complained. Rose was a very hard worker in everything she did. She enjoyed her two dogs; Bailey and Mickey, the home shopping network, and shopping in general. She enjoyed her many cruises with Kermit and family and trips to Hawaii with her niece, Susie. Rose was a member of St. Rosa of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston, Minn.
She is survived by a daughter, Deb (Jim) Clark of Mendota Heights; four grandchildren, Corey Fabian (Tina), Angela Mueller (Matt) Saporito, Kyle Mollert, Katie Moller (Eric) Ickler; great- grandchildren Koltyn, Kendall and Talon Fabia and Carter and Collin Ickler; two sisters, Marie Pellowski (Melvin) Maier, Celene (Wicka) Sobotta; brother-in-law, Alvin Fabian; sister-in-law, Geneva Karsten of Rosemont, Minn., and a daughter-in-law; Bonnie Mueller Fabian (Perry) Mollert.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit, a son, Rick, and brothers: Melvin Wicka, Clarence Wicka, and James Wicka.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Martin-Myhre Funeral Home. Parish Prayers will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home, with Father Timothy J. Hall officiating. Spring burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Lewiston.
