How many of us know of those who will not accept the truth about something that is crystal clear? They could have a stack of facts before them, yet they would still renounce all of this factual material. Once their position is impregnated into their cerebrums, the likelihood of their having a change of mind is nil. Even though innumerable facts abound that could easily disprove their erroneous belief or position, they will stubbornly and foolishly reject that which is without error - the Word of God.
Do these seared-of-their-conscience individuals realize Godís punishment for those who purposely misinterpret Scripture, those who disdain Scripture, those who smirkingly mock those who believe the Word of God? If their consciences were not seared, they would be trembling in fear at the thought of their abominable response to biblical truth and their intentional misrepresentation of Scripture. Even so, these enemies of God are to receive several good things from biblical Christians. Matthew 5:44
Will God not hold these conscience-seared individuals guilty, those who make light of Scripture (purposely take verses out of context to meet their deceptive evil intent) and who make light of those who have reverential respect for God and Scripture? Are those who use Scripture flippantly going to be smirking when they stand before God on Judgment Day? Absolutely not! These seared-of-their-conscience people seem oblivious to the seriousness (Godís punishment) of their godless action (intentional deception) and disregard or disrespect of Scripture.
Those with a seared conscience might be thinking this: ďWell, who cares! Everyone will either go to heaven or hell!Ē Here are two verses they might quote: Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a Son and shall call His name Jesus: For He shall save (everyone) His people from their sins. Scripture clearly teaches that everyone will not be going to hell and that everyone will not be going to heaven.
How anyone can write with a gloating, giddy heart and try to discredit and vilify the truth of Scripture is very troubling. Such offensive gloating shows that those who have a seared conscience have no respect for the Word of God and have no concern for their eternal destination.
Those with a seared conscience donít have to raise a red flag. Their false conception of Scripture will be so foreign from Scripture that their unbiblical conception will stand out like a neon sign. Their words will clearly reveal that their interpretive understanding of Scripture is unequivocally unbiblical gibberish. Their twisted interpretation of Scripture is evident to even those who are but babes in their knowledge of Scripture. Yes, it is very disheartening that this seared-of-their-conscience crowd seems not to be aware of the seriousness of their not accepting the true message of Jesus Christ.
Biblical Christians should pray that God will penetrate the stony, ill-intentioned hearts of those who are promoting deception, will silence them (those who have a seared conscience) from enlisting others into their camp of deception.
Those with wrong-filled and desensitized consciences may not realize this, but Satan is robbing them of Godís most invaluable gift, eternal life in heaven. Satanic mockery and perversive rebelliousness against Godís truth will never bear any good fruit; therefore, it is of utmost importance and urgency that everyone seek the Lord while He may be found and call upon Him while He is near - before oneís conscience would become seared, before one reaches that point in which he or she will never accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Isaiah 55:6 Proverbs 29:1
How foolish for anyone to take verses of the Bible out of context; after all, will perversion ever bring about anything good? Where will the perversion of Scripture lead people? Will it lead people to their Savior or away from their Savior? Ecclesiastes 5:1
The only ones who would be smiling about seared consciences would be Satan and his conscience-seared comrades. Everyone else would agree that a seared conscience is not good for anyone. PTL
