Report: Drug dealer held at knifepoint (04/10/2013)
by CHRIS ROGERS

Three men are in custody after what police are calling a “drug deal gone bad.” According to the report, Tanner Joe Boehmke, 20, of Stewartville; Tyler John Kohnen, 20, of Winona; and Jacob Lee Scheidegger, 19, of Winona, were in a vehicle together near Bartlett Lake, allegedly conducting a sale of marijuana, when Boemhmke stopped the vehicle and allegedly attempted to rob Scheidegger of his drugs at knife point.

Scheidegger called police at 10:56 p.m. on Monday, April 8, to report the attempted assault on his life and when officers responded Scheidegger reportedly admitted to being in possession of drug paraphernalia. A subsequent search revealed that Scheidegger was carrying five bags containing 58.7 grams of marijuana in his pockets. Searches of text messages indicated that the three men had set up a drug deal, according to the report.

Boehmke is being referred for second-degree assault, attempted aggravated robbery, and aggravated robbery. Kohnen is being referred for second-degree assault, attempted aggravated robbery, aggravated robbery, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a small amount of marijuana. Scheidegger is being referred for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
