My country (USA) is in tremendous debt, so how in blue-blazes can my beloved alma mater, WSU, even think of spending federal, state and city money on construction of tunnels under the railroad! Millions of dollars, no less! As I see student tuition and living costs escalating far above a student or the familyís ability to pay, even in a lifetime, I wonder.
I read of some banks and credit companies taking undue advantage with student loans, students paying extra fees for books and technology, etc., etc., students getting charged thousands of dollars by this cityís confusing alternate side parking and to the one (1) favored towing company, the disadvantage many taxpaying, rental property owners have, opposed to the many tax exempt property and business owners.
I donít understand why so much of the increased tax money allotted to the Minnesota University system is used to hire more high paid administrators instead of lowering student tuitions. WSU has been very blessed with its progress in our city! Do our young, healthy, and smartest population need tunnels under our one railroad? Is it really for safety? Mayo Clinic, yes, for the elderly, sick and handicapped! Then when will we taxpayers be asked to fund tunnels under the many city road crossings?
