Police confiscate two pounds of marijuana (04/14/2013)
By Chris Rogers

Winona Police officers arrested a California man who allegedly brought two pounds of marijuana to Winona for sale. John Boudin Stoa, 24, of Willow Creek, California, was arrested for fifth-degree sale of a controlled substance at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10. Officers received a tip that Stoa was coming to a residence in the area of East Third and Hamilton streets to sell the marijuana. Police conducted surveillance on the residence and searched Stoa’s backpack when he arrived, uncovering the two pounds of marijuana. Stoa made his first appearance in court on Thursday and was released from custody.
