WMS students ticketed for drugs, alcohol (04/14/2013)
By Chris Rogers

Two 14-year-old Winona Middle School (WMS) students were ticketed on drug and alcohol charges last Tuesday morning. One male student was ticketed for minor consumption and possession of alcohol after school staff observed him acting suspiciously, and searched his locker, producing an empty water bottle that smelled of alcohol and a bottle full of alcohol, according to the report. A preliminary breath test indicated his blood alcohol content was .039 percent.

Another male student was ticketed for possession of drug paraphernalia after an education assistant saw a marijuana pipe fall out of the boy’s pocket. Both boys were from Winona.
