MVC kicks off Earth Week with spring hike (04/17/2013)
Greens Coulee Spring Flowers Hike: Saturday, April 20th, 10:00 a.m.

Join Dave Skoloda, MVC member, for a guided hike of Greens Coulee in Onalaska. This protected land is quite scenic and has rare natural communities such as dry bluff prairie and globally imperiled oak savannah. You will also be treated to fabulous views from the prairie. We should see early blooming spring flowers and some of the early migrating birds. This hike is approximately 2 hours and is rated moderate in difficulty. Bring water, good hiking shoes/boots, binoculars and field guides if you have them.

Directions:

In Onalaska take Greens Coulee Road to a right turn on Greens Coulee Drive then left on Stonebridge. The parking lot is on the right after a short drive.

Please RSVP to kfrise@mississippivalleyconservancy.org or call 784-3606 ext. 6
