Thank you, Tasha (04/21/2013)

Women in Business

Winona’s Women in Business group would like to thank Tasha Schuh, a Wisconsin motivational speaker who was left quadriplegic after a fall as a teenager, for coming to Winona and sharing her story and inspiration with 125 members last night.

Tasha Schuh of Ellsworth, Wis., spoke at the Riverport Inn on April 18 about how, as a 16-year-old actor, she fell 16 feet through a trap door. The fall broke her neck, crushed her spinal cord and fractured her skull.

Schuh, a Winona State University graduate, is the winner of the 2012 National Rehabilitation Champion Award and the reigning Ms. Wheelchair USA 2012-13. She had copies of her latest book, “My Last Step Backward,” available at the event.
