Winona Apron Group Motherís Day gift ideas (05/01/2013)
From: Sandy Erdman

Winona Area Apron Group facilitator

The Winona Area Apron Group is inviting you this year to choose a gift for the un-mother side of your mother.

See her in ways you might not have before as daring, humorous, intellectual or athletic. Make a date for the two of you to share an activity that brings out this quality by buying tickets for a concert or a sporting event, go to a museum, an amusement park, zoo, garage sale, flea or farmerís market, antiquing or just go bicycling togetherÖOh! What fun!

Give in to her secret passion, whether itís rich chocolates or Broadway show music. Treat her as a FRIEND! Take her out to lunch or dinner for some serious conversation or lighthearted gossip and it can even be at a fast food restaurant, because she will probably just be happy to spend some time with you.

Go shopping and enjoy the exchange of fashion advice, even if you donít need it, take it with a grain of salt. Remember that mothers always know whatís best for us.

And if you are completely lost on what to do she may not need an apron or two, but a vintage tea cup at Magnolias that were donated to the Winona Area Apron Group by area folks may just make her day with memories of days gone by and sipping tea on her front porch. Oh! And donít forget a few cookies that can help the sweet tooth, too.

And if she really likes an apron or two, The Winona Area Apron Group will have hanky aprons available for sale along with their regular aprons.

So what are you waiting for? Come in to Magnolias, 177 Lafayette Street, Winona, and also register to WIN a Winona Area Apron Group apron. Registration from May 1 to May 9. Also a special ďThank youĒ to Diane Hanke, who just recently donated some 30 beautiful cups and saucers.

Happy Motherís Day from Sandy Erdman, facilitator of The Winona Area Apron Group.
