Safe cracked, meth and coke found (05/05/2013)

Ginger Marie Nahrgang, 38, of Winona, was arrested for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after an officer and his canine partner discovered what is believed to be methamphetamine and cocaine in a safe, according to the report. At 8:02 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, Winona County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle Nahrgang was riding in for crossing the centerline. Deputies said that Nahrgang became nervous and argumentative while deputies were talking with the driver. With permission from the driver, deputies searched the vehicle and discovered a small black locked safe; none of the occupants would claim ownership of the safe, according to the report. The deputies’ canine partner detected narcotics in the safe. Deputies reportedly found drug paraphernalia in Nahrgang’s purse. The safe was later opened and its contents field tested positive for cocaine and methamphetamine.
