Gay marriage goes against laws of nature (05/12/2013)
From: Marcy Borgschatz

Winona

I am replying to John Rupkey’s May 5th letter. Apparently he is not familiar with Scripture or he would know that there are multiple references to homosexuality.

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. II Timothy 3:16 says, “All scripture is God - breathed.” Also in II Peter 1:21, it is written, “For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried away by the Holy Spirit.”

God is all-knowing and identifies some behaviors as wrong and perversions of nature, so warning people about God’s displeasure and the wrath to come is not hateful but loving. Thankfully, people can change and many have with the help of God.

I applaud Kent Larson for his insightful and well-written letter the in May 9 WDN concerning same sex “marriage.” He is right; this is a moral issue! God’s standard of marriage needs to be upheld. That is one man, one woman, for life. Kathy Foerster’s letter to you on May 8 was also excellent and gives additional reasons that this is true.

It was a sad day yesterday when the Minnesota House approved of same sex “marriage.” Perhaps the Senate will have better sense and not pass this monstrosity. If they do, it will undermine the very structure of society and our religious freedom.
