The marriage amendment (05/15/2013)
From: Mary Zimmerman

How sad to see the results in the news concerning the marriage amendment. I think this whole thing is being looked at the wrong way. For one thing, two men or two women don’t have the combination to conceive and bear a child, God’s intention for marriage to begin with, so what’s the purpose? They want to be recognized for the benefits they can receive, forgetting the rewards promised by God to those who live according to His commandments.

Ask these questions. Can this arrangement - two fathers or two mothers - really give children the love and knowledge they need to grow up to be responsible, God-fearing adults? Will they fit into the school system? Faith Foundation classes? What about Mother’s and Father’s Day? Will the public have to make drastic changes in society to accommodate this new way of life, or do the children somehow have to adapt?

If we think there is a lot of mental illness and suicides now, what may the future hold? This, added onto the mind-boggling abortion issue, makes one wonder where will it all end!

I have never written much on the messages or warnings given by God, other than St. Faustina in the 1930s to whom He revealed, “I come as a merciful Savior before I come as a just judge, prepare the world for my second coming.”

Just to touch on one more, it is quite well known, it’s called “the warning.” Everyone all over the world will see their souls in the light as God sees them, giving mankind at that time, a chance to respond and repent. If not, rest assured the hand of God can no longer be restrained and we shall suffer a great chastisement.

Wake up America before it’s too late. Blessed John Paul’s motto was “be not afraid.” Jesus Himself so often used the phrase “peace be with you.” We know that our Christian values will prevail if we call upon God in prayer.
