Cyan was born January 20, 1992, in Maplewood, Minn., to Jennifer Dafnopulos and Christopher Wunderlich. He died on May 2, 2013, in Portland, Ore. He was 21 years old.
Cyan is survived by his father, Christopher Wunderlich, of Portland, Ore., mother, Jennifer Dafnopulos, stepfather, Dimitri Dafnopulos and brothers Alexi and Marco Dafnopulos, all of St. Paul, Minn., grandparents, Charles and Sandra Wunderlich of Fountain City, Wis., Sandra Knupp of North St. Paul, Minn., and Phil Knupp of Colorado Springs, Colo., uncles Mark Wunderlich of Catskill, N.Y., and Steven Thompson (Marissa) of Colorado Springs, Colo.
Cyan was a student at Portland Community College, where he studied biology. He had avid interests in plant and animal life, mycology, history and science. He loved cycling, hunting with his grandfather and father on the family farm in Fountain City, being in the woods and being with his family. He had many friends in Portland, where he was involved in community activities and social justice issues. He had a big laugh, was an excellent mimic and was helpful, funny and had many enthusiasms. He will be sorely missed by his family and his friends.
