Drugs, stolen goods found (05/19/2013)
By Chris Rogers

Winona County Sheriff’s deputies and Winona Police officers worked through the night on Friday morning to uncover a trove of illegal drugs and stolen goods at a Fischer Hill Drive residence east of Plainview. Officers carried out a search warrant at around midnight. According to the report, they found 96 pills that tested positive for amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, 7.8 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, what appeared to be LSD, and 45 grams of THC (the pyschoactive chemical in marijuana) and psilocybin candles. Deputies also found a two-wheel trailer that had been reported stolen and two all-terrain vehicles that are suspected to be stolen. Investigators are looking into whether other items found, including numerous tools and equipment, may match the description of items reported missing during recent burglaries.

The residents, Gabriel Orion Lowther, 37, of Plainview, and April Faye Lewis, 34, of Plainview, were arrested and referred for third-, fourth-, and fifth-degree controlled substances crimes, respectively. Lowther is also being referred for possession of stolen property. Lowther and Lewis were both in custody at the time of the report.
