What states are in the Midwest? (05/22/2013)
From: Wayne E. Hamernik

I see by the paper that they had shut down a couple refineries in Illinois, and that would affect our gas prices in the Midwest.

We were down in LaCrosse the other day and their gas price was $3.85, and their gas tax is higher than ours. Iowas gas price was $3.65. Now dont both Iowa and Wisconsin belong in the Midwest with us?

Before the gas hike we watched the tankers come directly to fill the tanks up (with the cheaper priced gas) and lo and behold the price went up over 30. Wow!

We dont get any gas from Illinois that I know of, and I have never seen a tanker here from down there. The refinery up in the cities is still going strong, and they mentioned before they were changing over to summer blend.

I got a $16.00 raise from Social Security. Now Ill be able to buy three gallons of gas with it. What a great state and country - always looking out for the little guy.

Like the old saying: I could tell they were lying, cause their lips were moving!

P.S. Good one, Dick Smith.
