Goodview drug bust (05/22/2013)

Two Goodview residents were arrested after a drug bust produced what may be plant food and three types of prescription pills, the Winona County Sheriff’s Department reported. Deputies arrested Travis Roger Nation, 27, and Shannon Jean Walters, 31, for fifth-degree possession of a controlled after the execution of a search warrant at their Goodview residence produced a bag of white powdery substance that field tested positive for cocaine as well as oxycodone, clonazepam, and benzodiazepine pills, according to the report. Sheriff’s Department officials noted that APVP, or plant food, will test positive for cocaine in a field test. Neither Walters nor Nation had a prescription for the legend drugs, according to the report. Deputies reporting finding various paraphernalia including pipes, scales, a hypodermic needle, and a burnt spoon at the residence. Walters and Nation’s two children were released to family, officials stated. $500 in cash was seized from the residence in connection with the alleged drug crimes.
