If Jesus were living today among us in flesh and bones, how would He handle the abortion situation, same sex marriages, or the many other issues of today? Imagine if you will a group of people gathered around Jesus listening to Him preaching, allowing them to ask questions as well, one being, “Master, this woman over here has had an abortion, shall we stone (kill) her?” Jesus answers, “He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone.” They all walked away. Jesus walked up to the woman and said, “I don’t condemn you either, go and sin no more, seek my divine mercy and you shall live now and forever.”
The next time Jesus gathered with people He preached much on abortion and other issues. “My dear children, I create these little people, you call them babies, then I loan them to you as a gift to love and nurture them till I call them back to me some day. If they have lived their lives seeking to know, love and serve me, seek my mercy when they fail, I will have a heavenly home prepared for them.”
“When it comes to abortion there is no middle ground, my friends. We must continue the battle to end this terrible carnage. You are either with me or against me; you will be judged accordingly. What you have done to one of these little ones, you have done unto me. You not only snuff out the lives of these innocent babies, you have also killed your relationship with me. You can’t bring your baby back but divine mercy being my greatest attribute you can again restore our friendship and make amends by doing deeds of mercy.” Help women along in a difficult situation of a pregnancy. Love and counsel her, let her know there are people who would truly want to adopt her baby to love and care for it. Sometimes when babies are born alive through a botched abortion they are left to lay and die or sometimes purposely killed. I suggest you watch October Baby. A survivor of a saline abortion, eventually she found her birth mother and forgave her. They both went on to have a happy life.
Life is just a testing ground for us pilgrims as we are passing through. God wants to walk that road with us, pick us up when we fall, dust us off (confession) and say go try again. Jesus says when you only see one set of footprints, that’s when I carried you (and He has carried me many times).
Again, what would Jesus do? And what would He have us do? He’d say hate the sin but love the sinner, only through the grace of God can we do that.
What would Jesus say concerning same sex marriages? I believe these would be His exact words: My dear people I made a man and a woman, male and female to cooperate within their marriage to bring children into the world. Mankind, you have distorted it to your own liking. Children deserve a father and a mother to love and teach them, to give them insight into the knowledge of life as I want them to know it, to have a good life. Then I’ll call them back again to an eternal life with me. Why are you trying to make up your own rules concerning life? I gave you the Ten Commandments. What is it about “Thou shalt not kill” that you don’t understand? I am your God, dismiss your false gods and fall into my loving arms to embrace you always in your eternal home - heaven.
