From: Sen. Jeremy Miller
Over the weekend Minnesota was hit hard with severe storms and heavy rainfall. This rainfall coupled with an already saturated ground has caused major flood damage throughout southeastern Minnesota, particularly in the areas of Fillmore and Houston Counties. During the next few days it is my hope that I will be able to visit each county and survey some of the affected areas first hand.
I will continue to stay in contact with the Emergency Management team through the Department of Homeland Security as well as the Minnesota Department of Transportation to discuss what options and possible funding are available for these affected areas. At this point, I am unsure if or what assistance is available. If you have any questions about this process or if you require any assistance please contact my office at 651-296-5649 or firstname.lastname@example.org and Iíll be happy to contact the necessary agencies.
