Train derails on Wall Street (07/03/2013)
By Chris Rogers

A Canadian Pacific train derailed while traveling on the Wall Street spur track south of Front Street at around 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 1. Wheels beneath two railcars slipped off the tracks and several cars came off the tracks. The cars did not tip over and the trains were not carrying regulated commodities or hazardous materials, Canadian Pacific spokesman Andy Cummings said. The cause of the derailment is unclear. “We’re investigating the incident, Cummings stated. No one was hurt. City staff reported that they were not aware of any damage to city streets caused by the accident.
