Lubinski, Rick J. (07/07/2013)
Rick J. Lubinski, 59, died in his home, peacefully with his family and friends at his side, on July 2, 2013, after a strong fight with cancer.

Rick was born May 28, 1954, to George and Elizabeth (Ebertowski) Lubinski in Winona, Minn. On April 17, 1982, he married the love of his life, Ann Beneke, in Eitzen, Minn. They were blessed with two girls. Rick resided in Winona where he worked at Bay State Milling for 30 plus years. He enjoyed being on the beautiful Mississippi River where his love and knowledge was shared with his girls and countless friends. He enjoyed his many hunting and fishing trips throughout his life with his dear family and friends as well. Rick enjoyed his time with his girls while they were in 4-H showing their dairy steers.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Ann; two daughters, Maggie (Alex) Lossen of Winona and Jordyn (Nathan Wiater) of Eagan, Minn.; his mother, Betty; amazing sister, Sue (Wayne) Gallas of Rochester, Minn.; a sister, Paula (Doug) Bourne; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many awesome nieces, nephews, aunts, and one uncle. Rick was an honored Godfather to Greg Gallas, Justin Beneke, and Trysten Verthein.

He was preceded in death by his children, Tyler and Conner Marie in infancy; his father, George; and in-laws, Margaret and Walter Beneke.

Services to celebrate Rick’s life will be held at noon on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at First Congregational Church/UCC, 161 W. Broadway, Winona. Rev. Pamela J. Gnagy will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Private family burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Winona. Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory, La Crosse, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent at www.jandtfredrickson.com.

“Our world feels like it is falling apart; but God gives us faith to move mountains and friends to share burdens and endless love to put the pieces back together.”
