Winona man referred for domestic assault (07/14/2013)
By Chris Rogers

Taylor John Kujak, 21, of Winona, allegedly threw a lighter at police, who were responding to a report of domestic abuse, and told them it was a bomb. The police were apparently unperturbed about the “bomb.” They did, however, threaten to shoot Kujak with a Taser when he refused to put up his hands, according to the report. Officers believed Kujak had a knife hidden in his hands when they responded to a report of a domestic assault involving Kujak on Thursday, July 11, at 10:27 p.m. Kujak was referred for domestic assault causing fear and domestic assault causing harm after he allegedly pushed down a 23-year-old woman multiple times and bit her on the arm and face. Police officials said they did not expect to refer Kujak for charges related to his allegedly uncooperative behavior.
