Harold Charles Schuh, 93, of Winona, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013, at St. Anne Extended Health Care.
Visitation will be Friday evening, Aug. 2, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service following at 7:00 p.m. at Fawcett Junker Funeral Home, Winona, Minn. Burial will be at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Winona.
Harold Charles Schuh was born June 11, 1920, in Rollingstone, Minn. He was the son of John Schuh and Sophia Feil Schuh. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone as a child and attended school there. Harold served in the Army Air Force during World War II from Nov. 1941 to Dec. 1945.
On May 24, 1947, Harold was united in marriage to Carol Goltz at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona. This marriage was blessed with two sons, Richard and Gerald. Harold and Carol resided in Winona. He was a partner in Valley Wholesalers throughout his working years. Harold was an avid fisherman and enjoyed carpentry.
Harold is survived by his wife, Carol, of 66 years; son, Richard and his wife, Jewel, of Altura, and their children: Aileen of Dallas, Texas, and Holly of Baltimore, Md.; son, Gerald, and his wife, Patricia, of Minnesota City, and their children, Scott of Fridley, Melissa Henry and her husband, Ryan of Rochester, and Christopher of Kasson, Minn.; brother, Jack Schuh, sisters: Virginia Chalupsky, Mary Gosse, and sister-in-law, Sally Schuh, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sophia Schuh, brothers, Maurice and Robert and his wife, Jeanette, sisters: Laura, Elaine and her husband, Ralph Moravec, and sister-in-law, Joan Schuh, brothers–in-law: Tom Chalupsky, Jim Gosse, Neil Goltz and Franklyn Goltz Jr., and his wife, Eleanor, mother and father-in- law, Franklyn and Rosalie Goltz.
