Winona officer allegedly assaulted after party (07/31/2013)
By Chris Rogers

Some ran, others refused to leave, and one woman kneed an officer in the leg, police say. Six were referred for charges after police broke up a noisy party on the 550 block of East Mark Street at 3:27 a.m. on Saturday, July 27.

Cherish Marie Roberts, 19, of Holmen, Wis., was arrested for fourth-degree assault of a peace officer, obstructing the legal process with force, and minor consumption of alcohol after she allegedly kneed an officer in the leg as he was taking her to a squad car. It is unclear whether she had higher expectations for the malicious knee.

Patrick O’Brian Reese, 18, of Winona, was referred for fleeing peace officers on foot and giving a false name and date of birth. Dana Dorris Hocking, 19, of Galesville, Wis., was ticketed for giving false information to police and minor consumption of alcohol after she allegedly lied to police. Ciera Anita Brewster, 19, of Rochester, was ticketed for obstructing the legal process, failure to leave a loud party, and minor consumption of alcohol. Brandon Antwon Brewster, 22, of Rochester, was ticketed for failure to leave a loud party.

Later, officers reportedly found Bruce Gregory Shrock, 19, of Winona, hiding in a bush in the area of the party. Shrock was ticketed for minor consumption.
