Is your property ‘non-conforming?’ (08/07/2013)
From: Joy Ewing

...It could be after the passing of the Winona County Ordinance that became effective in March 2011. There is an informational meeting on proposed amendments to the Winona County Ordinance on Thursday, August 8, 7 p.m. at the Government Center, 4th and Main, that would eliminate many detrimental “non-conforming” designations. The meeting is open to the public.

Southeast Minnesota is full of hills and valleys; our predecessors have survived on this land and now many of those properties are classified as “non-conforming” and cannot be expanded, as well as other restrictions. Please attend the informational meeting on Thursday, August 8, to learn more about the amendment, prior to the public hearing on August 15.
