Thursday, August 1

• At 1:36 p.m. a 12-year-old Lewiston boy was taken to the hospital for burns and a possible fracture after an all-terrain vehicle he was driving rolled over on top of him.

Friday, August 2

• At 12:16 p.m. a 15-year-old girl from Altura was taken to the hospital after an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) she was driving lost control and rolled on County Road 33 south of Altura. The girl suffered cuts to her chin, according to the report.

Saturday, August 3

• At 8:50 p.m. deputies in the Winona County Boat Patrol arrested Peter John Steffen, 55, of Winona, for second-degree driving while intoxicated after he was reportedly found to be driving his boat under the influence of alcohol. Steffen was stopped near Latsch Island for boating without lights at night, when deputies noticed that he showed signs of intoxication, according to the report. A breath test indicated that his blood alcohol content was .21 percent. Steffen’s 21-foot boat was seized in connection to the crime.

Sunday, August 4

• At 4:21 a.m. deputies ticketed Brian Joseph Whetstone, 18, of Winona, for minor consumption of alcohol and minor in possession of alcohol after a vehicle he was riding in was pulled over in Rollingstone. A 16-year-old Winona boy who was riding in the car was ticketed for minor consumption of alcohol, as well.

• At 5:15 p.m. a Plymouth man reported that $1,040 worth of cash and electronics were taken from his vehicle sometime between 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Whitewater State Park picnic area. The vehicle was locked. It appeared that someone had broken in, deputies said.

Monday, August 5

• At 1:41 p.m. deputies arrested Andreas Dylan Wolk, 21, of Dresbach, for fifth-degree domestic assault after he allegedly hit a woman in the face and threatened to kill her with a knife.

• At 5:39 p.m. a Hidden Valley resident reported that a chain saw and orange case valued at $300 were stolen from a shed on his property.

Friday, August 2

• At 10:22 a.m. officers ticketed Max William Ruff, 28, of Winona, for domestic assault causing harm after he allegedly punched a woman at a residence on East Sixth Street.

• At 10:17 p.m. Christina Marie Ross, 20, of Winona was ticketed for minor consumption of alcohol at Sixth and High streets.

Saturday, August 3

• At 2:49 a.m. three men reported the theft of two longboards (long skateboards) valued at $360 and a Apple Macbook Pro laptop from their unlocked residence on the 150 block of East 10th Street.

• At 11:53 a.m. officers arrested Heidi Lynn Stach, 33, of Onalaska, for gross misdemeanor theft after she allegedly stole $648 worth of merchandise from Target by pushing a loaded shopping cart out the door.

• At 2:31 p.m. officers ticketed John Anthony Wayne, 23, of Hutchinson, and Syerrah Nicole Tucker, 25, of Hutchinson, for shoplifting after they allegedly stole $116 worth of merchandise from Fleet Farm.

• At 9:58 p.m. officers arrested Aaron Lee Hamernick, 41, of Winona, for third-degree driving while intoxicated following a report of a suspicious vehicle near a residence on the 550 block of East 10th Street. Hamernick was passed out inside the vehicle with the engine running, according to the report. A preliminary breath test indicated that his blood alcohol content was .21 percent.

• At 11:42 p.m. officers ticketed Katie Ann Schlaikowski, 20, of East Troy, Wis., for minor consumption after an officer spotted her attempting to enter Market Street Tap bar.

Sunday, August 4

• At 1:39 a.m. officers ticketed Jake Aaron Blillie, 19, of Winona, for minor consumption of alcohol and having a loud party.

• At 3:33 a.m. officers arrested Cody James Meyer, 19, of Winona, for domestic assault causing harm, gross misdemeanor domestic assault, and obstructing the legal process after he allegedly punched a woman and dragged her on the sidewalk outside of a residence on High Forest Street. Meyer pulled away from officers as they attempted to arrest him, according to the report. DeShane Von Krutcher-Blass, 18, of Winona, was also ticketed for obstructing the legal process after he allegedly disrupted officers’ attempts to speak to Meyer and other witnesses.

• At 6:25 p.m. officers arrested Erik Odin Anderson, 47, of Winona, for gross misdemeanor theft after he allegedly stole $641 dollars worth of electronics, clothing, and tools from Walmart.

Monday, August 5

• At 10:13 p.m. Krissa Marie Foegen, 24, of Winona, was ticketed for disorderly conduct after she allegedly fought with a man at the corner of Sixth and Huff streets.
