Rider thrown from motorcycle (08/07/2013)
On Saturday, August 3, at 7:01 p.m., the Buffalo County Sheriff’s office received a 911 call of a motorcycle crash on CTH P, approximately one mile north of STH 35. Emergency responders from the Winona Area Ambulance, Fountain City First Responders, Fountain City Fire Department, and the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department responded, as well as Med Link from La Crosse, Wis. The operator, Elvis Blazevic, 37, of Brooklyn Center, Minn., failed to negotiate a sharp turn in the road, and lost control on the pavement before being thrown from the cycle into a grassy ditch. Blazevic was flown by Med Link to Gundersen Medical Center in La Crosse with internal injuries. Traveling too fast for conditions and alcohol allegedly contributed to the accident. The investigation is continuing.
