WOW, what another great year! The Rollingstone Activity Group would like to thank everyone for making it a successful weekend. We couldnít do it without the local businesses, volunteers, suppliers, vendors, and participants. THANK YOU!
Friday nigth started with softball, kidís games, karaoke and fireworks (Sponsored by the Rollingstone Fire Department). The park was full of people and it was a great start to the weekend!
Saturday began with a successful Roll-n-Stroll 5K and an art show and sale held at the Luxembourg Museum. The kidís games had a great assortment of inflatables, games and crafts (sponsored by the Rollingstone Jaycees). The vendors brought a large selection of unique items and Bingo was a lot of fun. The night ended with a street dance with music provided by Hallowed Ground.
Sunday started with a french toast breakfast. Proceeds from this breakfast are used by the Rollingstone Community School as an iPad subsistence. Itís great to see the community continue to support our fantastic school! The afternoon continued with a great car show and the parade, which is always a nice community event. The softball tournament was a great success, with the Cove taking first place. Thank you to the Fire Department for hosting the annual firemanís water fights.
New this year was our ĎGuess the stonesí contest. A set of Twins tickets and gift basket were awarded to the individual who was the closest to guessing the number of stones in the container. We had one winner Saturday night and a second winner on Sunday. Thank you to Al Smith for the tickets and baskets - what a generous (and fun) donation!
The Rollingstone Activity Group sponsors and organizes Rollingstone Days, with profits used to make improvements to our community. We hope everyone enjoyed the free ice cream and music by Ronís Old Tyme Fun Band. Itís our way of saying thank you for your support over the weekend.
Last but certainly not least, thank you to the Activity Group members. You do a wonderful job and your hard work is appreciated!
