Vehicle swerves for deer, rolls on its top (08/28/2013)
At 5:42 p.m. on August 24, the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a vehicle/deer accident. A vehicle driven by Jodi J. Sylla, 52, of Independence, Wis., was traveling northbound on County Road V, approximately 1/4 mile north of County Road VV in the Township of Chimney Rock, when the driver swerved to miss a deer. Sylla then over-corrected, losing control of the vehicle and flipping onto the roof of the vehicle in the southbound shoulder of County Road V. Sylla suffered minor lacerations on the arm and was not transported by ambulance. Assisting on the scene were the Osseo Ambulance, Independence First Responders and Independence Fire Department.
