Noeske, Tobias ‘Toby’ S. (09/04/2013)
By
Noeske, Tobias

‘Toby’ S.

Tobias “Toby” S. Noeske, 53, of Rollingstone, Minn., died Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.

Toby was born October 11, 1959, in Wabasha, Minn., to Malven and Audre (Styba) Noeske. He graduated from Winona Senior High in 1978. On April 26, 1986, he married the love of his life, Lynn Schultz, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Toby was an incredibly hard worker; working at Fiberite for 20 years, Winona Health, Primera Foods in Altura, Kerry Ingredients in Rochester and was currently employed at PlastiComp in Winona. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and served as Union Steward.

Toby was a member of the Rollingstone Fire Department for 22 years, retiring this past year. He was known for his smart wit and dry sense of humor. He could always spin a good tale and called himself “crap man” because if he didn’t know the answer, he would make one up! He could fix anything! Toby enjoyed gardening, hunting, cooking and the Minnesota Vikings.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn; daughter, Nicki (Terry Patterson) of La Crosse; son, Tom of Rollingstone; two brothers, Art (Darlene) of Winona and Doug of Minneapolis; brother-in-law, Terry Henke of Rollingstone; godchildren, Danielle Noeske and Doug Henke; nieces and nephews, Blake Noeske, Brian King-Henke, Mandy Good, Paul Noeske and Timmy Henke; two aunts, Rita (Dave) Lueck and Tess Varner, both of Winona and one uncle, Bert (Esther) Styba of Winona. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jackie Henke and sister-in-law, Diane Noeske.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview, with the Reverend James Berning officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

Please share a memory of Toby, sign his online guestbook and view his video tribute when it becomes available at www.hofffuneral.com.
