Yapp, Carol I. (09/11/2013)
Carol I. Yapp, age 86, of Alma, Wis., passed away September 6, 2013, at her sonís home.

Carol was born May 16, 1927, in Wonewoc, Wis., to Frank and Alma (Brockman) Lankey. She was united in marriage to Robert Yapp on April 24, 1948, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wonewoc. Carol and Robert resided in Madison, Wis., until 1984 when they moved to their farm in Cream.

Carol was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Cochrane, Wis., and a life member of Buffalo City VFW Auxiliary 10406. She enjoyed her time as a volunteer at the Alma Senior Center.

Carol will be sadly missed by her daughter Michelle Egland of Lewiston, Minn.; sons Douglas Yapp of Independence, Wis., and Steve (Linda) Yapp of West Bend, Wis.; daughter-in-law, Linda Yapp of Huron, S.D.; grandchildren Stephanie (Carl) Campbell, Jerad (Lindsey) Yapp, Tanner Yapp, Alanna (Kurt) Joy, Brenda (Mike) Harvey, Christina (Chad Bult) Yapp, Jason Yapp, Quint (Denise) Yapp, Mike, Mark and Laura Yapp, and Ashley and Brett Egland. Her great-grandchildren: Kenley and Connor Yapp, Craig Campbell, Deegan, Shayla and Braeden Seidel, Michaela Harvey, and Grant and Alexis Yapp. Her sisters, Janet Lankey of Verona, Wis., and Sharon (Fred) Jaedike of Cable, Wis.; her brother, Kenneth (Inga) Lankey of Stoughton, Wis.; her godchildren Sharon and Jon Jaedike, and Jenny Gilbertson and dear friend, Joan Schrank.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bob, in 1994, her dear son, Greg, in 2012, special friend, Charles Patrick in 2004, and her brother, Bob, and his wife, May.

There will be a visitation on Friday, September 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Talbot Family Funeral Homes in Alma, Wis.

The funeral service will be at Christ Lutheran Church in Cochrane, Wis., on Saturday, September 14, at 11 a.m., with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Pastor Mark Wilde will officiate. Burial will follow at Buffalo City Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.talbotfuneralhomes.com
