Vikes 30 - Bears 31 (09/18/2013)
How could we lose this hard-playing game

The Vikes and the Bears did it all, both the same

We started out good, same as a week ago

But in the end, 10 seconds left, and a loss- oh no!

To start, Patterson ran 105 yards, a touchdown he had

Allen sacks, causes fumble, Robison touchdown, not bad

Both were defensive ones but that was okay

A touchdownís a touchdown, started good on this day

The Bears got two touchdowns, we intercept

Williams does it in the end zone, the ball wasnít kept

They then intercepted us and a touchdown was there

not for the Vikes - but for the Chicago Bears

Allen stripped Cutler of the ball on a sack

Thatís when Robison ran for a touchdown, we were back

Ponder did well, 227 yards he threw

Peterson ran for 100 yards, but to win, couldnít do

With only 10 seconds left to go on this day

Bears needed a touchdown - a good throw by Jay

We wanted a field goal for them, that was all

Didnít work out that way, another loss in football

Jennings, Rudolph, Walsh and Simpson did good

We still couldnít win, but really we should

Now two losses - have to start to win

Next week for sure, Cleveland comes in.

Bernie Mayzek
