PLANTS AND THEIR ATTRIBUTES WEEK
**All programs will start from the Nature Center**
Friday, July 30 PRAIRIE PATHWAYS
7:30PM Join the Naturalist for a short slide show on the adaptations and identification of various prairie plants. We will be strolling through the restored prairie (seek and leave scavenger hunt) and concluding with a game of thicket!
Saturday, July 31 LIFE IN A ROTTED LOG
1:00PM
Hey KIDS!!! Grab your parents and join the Naturalist for a mini-hike. We will be investigating rotted logs and discussing the nutrient cycle.
Saturday, July 31 EDIBLE WILD PLANTS
4:00PM Take a walk on the "wild side" with Phil Paltzkill and discover some of the natural beauty found throughout the park. Phil will be explaining how to harvest and prepare various wild plants.
Sunday, August 1 DIVERSE VEGETATION HIKE
9:00-11:00AM
Come for a hike with the Naturalist to the most beautiful view in the park, Brady's Bluff. Diverse vegetation of three unique ecosystems will be explored: goat prairie, hardwood forest, and lowland hardwood forest. This hike will last about two hours so be sure to bring plenty of water.
*A Wisconsin State Park Sticker is required for all motorized vehicles.*
