Citizenship Day celebration (09/25/2013)
On September 27, Project FINE (Focus on Integrating Newcomers through Education) will be hosting its first annual ‘Citizenship Day’ celebration to recognize new Americans in our community.

An open house will be held from 2 until 3 p.m., with a short program beginning at 2:30. New citizens will also have the opportunity to register to vote during the open house and get information about the polling place closest to their home. All naturalized citizens and their families are welcome to attend, please call Project FINE at 507-452-4100 for more details.

Project FINE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a respectful and sensitive community. It provides educational programs and services for immigrants and refugees in Winona County and the surrounding region. Its staff assists individuals with preparation for the United States citizenship exam, and has helped over 50 area residents on their path to becoming citizens!
