Chainsaw artist at Eagle Center (09/29/2013)
October 5th and 6th, the National Eagle Center hosts chainsaw artist Joe Semler of I Saw it in Minnesota. Specializing in log furniture and chainsaw carving, Semler creates beauty and art from natural wood. Visitors can stop by to watch as he carves eagles, bears and more. During the weekend, Semler will be carving and have items for exhibit and sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event is free and open to the public, located just across from the entrance to the National Eagle Center, 50 Pembroke Ave, Wabasha, Minn.

The National Eagle Center is a landmark interpretive center on the banks of the Mississippi River in Wabasha, Minn. Offering wild eagle viewing and live eagle programs daily, the National Eagle Center fosters environmental stewardship through education about eagles and the Mississippi River watershed.
