NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO CONSIDER THE DESIGNATION OF
409 WEST BROADWAY AS A WINONA HERITAGE PRESERVATION SITE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Winona, Minnesota, will meet in the Council Chambers on the Third Floor of City Hall, 207 Lafayette Street, at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, August 16, 2004, to consider the designation of property located at 409 West Broadway as a Local Winona Heritage Preservation Site.
Historically referenced as the Emma Ball House, this residential structure (ca. 1887) represents a well-conserved example of the Queen Anne style, as designed by Charles G. Maybury, a prominent Winona architect of the late nineteenth century. Local designation of this property is being considered on the basis of its architectural significance to the city.
