Winona County

Friday, October 11

• At 5:43 p.m, deputies received a report of property damage in Minnesota City. An adult male reported that nails had been pounded into the tires on his vehicle.

Saturday, October 12

• At 8 a.m., deputies ticketed William Fredrick Stark IV, of La Crosse, for underage consumption of alcohol, underage possession of alcohol, and trespassing, after Stark was reportedly trespassing in a hayfield near County Road 17 and County Road 19.

Monday, October 14

• At 8:47 a.m., deputies received a report of a car and train accident on County Road 37, south of Highway 14. Brittni Nicole Gallus, 18, of Utica, was traveling northbound on County Road 37 when she struck the eastbound train. Gallus admitted she was traveling too fast, but stated she did not see or hear the train. Gallus did not suffer any injuries, but her vehicle did sustain over $1,000 worth of damage.

Friday, October 11

• At 9:49 p.m., officers responded to a report of a theft at Walmart. Charlotte Mary Elfering, 24, of Winona, was ticketed for theft by shoplifting after allegedly stealing $93.87 worth of DVDs and a pair of dress boots.

Saturday, October 12

• At 12:30 a.m., officers ticketed Tiffany Tianna Thody, 22, of Winona, for littering after she threw a drinking cup and its contents on the ground.

• At 1:30 a.m., on the 250 block of East Sixth Street, officers ticketed Mitchell Robert Hammer, 19, of Winona, for underage consumption of alcohol. Hammer’s blood alcohol content was .207 percent.

• At 5:09 a.m., officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on the 100 block of Winona Street. Officers arrested Tamika Tiara Lyda, 24, of Winona, and are referring her for the following charges: domestic assault causing fear, terroristic threats, first-degree burglary, first-degree burglary with possession of a dangerous weapon, first-degree assault, gross misdemeanor domestic assault, and second-degree assault. Lyda allegedly broke into a house and threatened to kill the occupant while holding a knife.

At 10:53 p.m., officers responded to a report of a loud party on the 550 block of Olmstead Street. Casey Kay Kreidermacher, 18, of Winona, and Spencer Thomas Gray, 18, of Lewiston, were ticketed for underage consumption of alcohol. Gray was also ticketed for fleeing on foot.

Sunday, October 13

• At 2:09 a.m., officers ticketed Kinjo Kaldikm Omar, 20, of Winona, for underage consumption of alcohol after they found him standing in the middle of Huff Street. Omar had a blood alcohol content of .20 percent.

Monday, October 14

• At 12:06 p.m., officers arrested Devin Lee Polus, 26, of Winona. Polus engaged in a slow speed police chase in a stolen vehicle, according to police. Polus has been referred for the following charges: fleeing police in a motor vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle, driving after revocation, and possession of a fifth-degree controlled substance.

• At 12:47 p.m., officers responded to a report of a theft from a residence on the 300 block of Main Street. The resident arrived home at 5 p.m., on October 13 and noticed a window halfway open. Shoes and an electronic dart board were missing.
