Thursday, October 17

At 9:31 p.m., deputies received a call from an adult male who reported that his girlfriend, who was allegedly intoxicated, took his car. When deputies arrived the caller stated that his girlfriend was home. Upon further investigation the deputies found the adult female to be intoxicated and uncooperative. Kelly Ann Oshio, 49, of Dakota was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice.

Tuesday, October 15

At 10:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a fire on the 850 block of Wabasha Street. A motor home parked in a driveway caught fire. No damage report was available.

Wed., October 16

At 12:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of an accident on Parks Avenue. Andrew Jordan Scharky, of Winona, was ticketed for careless driving after he rolled his car into a ditch.

Thursday, October 17

At 11:51 p.m., officers on foot patrol encountered a male subject near Third and Market streets who reported that he had been struck on the head with a rock by another male. The alleged victim also reported that the same person hit his friend in the head with a glass. The suspect attempted to flee the officers on foot, but was captured. Geoff David Buxton, 25, of Bloomington, is in custody for second-degree assault, and fleeing a peace officer on foot. Both victims took private vehicles to Winona Health to be examined. Buxton was taken by ambulance to Winona Health for a cut finger, which required stitches.

Friday, October 18

At 1:51 a.m., officers responded to a report of a broken window on the 400 block of West Tenth Street. A half-eaten apple was thrown at the house and broke a window.
