Saturday, October 26

• At 9:55 a.m. police were called to a rental property in Dresbach on a report of an assault. Aaron William Hunt, 26, of Dakota, was cited for fifth-degree assault after he allegedly struck his brother’s landlord when the landlord attempted to check on the property.

Friday, November 1

• At 9:20 a.m. police received a report of a trail camera and tree stand, valued at $650, stolen from property on Papenfuss Drive in Dakota.

•At 5:46 p.m. police received a report of a one-vehicle accident on County Road 5 one-half mile east of Four Farms Road. A vehicle driven by Shannon Rae Nelson, 16, of La Crescent, Minn., headed northbound on County Road 5, left the roadway and struck an embankment before rolling onto its top. Nelson was transported to Gundersen Health for medical care.

Saturday, November 2

• At 3:38 p.m. police received a call from a 63-year-old man from Minneapolis who reported an orange canvas bag holding two firearms had fallen from his pickup truck somewhere along County Road 25 near its intersection with Highway 61 near Weaver. Police received a second call a short while later from a 53-year-old Homer man who had found the bag and guns. The two firearms were returned to their owner.

Sunday, November 3

• At 3:42 a.m. police received a report from a St. Charles officer that he was following a vehicle registered to an owner with a felony warrant from Winona County. Deputies assisted with the stop on Highway 14 near Stockton. Eric William Poillon, 27, of Winona, was arrested on probation and drug court violations. Police said a glass pipe and scale were allegedly found in the vehicle, and the incident is under investigation.

Friday, November 1

• At 1:34 a.m. police stopped a vehicle at Fourth and Johnson streets after the driver allegedly squealed his tires. Justin Marceau Jackson, 22, of Winona, was cited for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and possession of a small amount of marijuana. Police said he showed signs of intoxication and his blood alcohol content was measured at .08 percent. He allegedly had a small amount of marijuana in his possession at the time of the citation.

• At 11:40 p.m. police cited Nicholas Norman Rodriguez, 19, of Kenosha, Wis., at Eighth and Harriet streets, for underage consumption of alcohol. Police reports indicate officers on foot were in the area and observed Rodriguez allegedly throwing a lawn chair he had taken from a yard. His blood alcohol content was measured at .07 percent.

Saturday, November 2

• At 12:38 a.m. police cited John Reinhart Marx, 20, of Winona, for underage consumption of alcohol at Fifth and Laird streets after he allegedly showed signs of intoxication while standing outside his residence there. His blood alcohol content was measured at .165 percent.

• At 1:30 a.m. police received a call from a Hardee’s employee who reported a disruptive man in the restaurant. Police cited Wyatt William Travis, 20, of Rochester, for underaged consumption of alcohol. His blood alcohol content was measured at .18 percent.

Sunday, November 3

• At 3:03 a.m. police received a report of a vehicle parked in the middle of Third Street near Walnut Street. Police learned that another vehicle had struck that vehicle, causing it to come to rest in the middle of the roadway, and that the striking vehicle had also allegedly hit another parked car on Kansas Street north of Broadway. Police recovered pieces of what they believe to be the striking vehicle. The vehicle is believed to be white, and the incident is under investigation.

Monday, November 4

• At 12:08 a.m. police were called to the 700 block of Terrace Heights on a report of an assault. A pizza delivery driver reported that a man driving behind him on the way to a delivery had flashed his lights and tailgated his vehicle. The delivery driver alleged that Grant Joseph Timm, 21, of Millville, Minn., assaulted him after he arrived at his destination. The delivery driver reportedly struck Timm and knocked him to the ground, then held him there. Police cited Timm for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated: Timm had a blood alcohol content measured at .14 percent.

• At 7:46 a.m. police received a call reporting damage to a vehicle parked on the 800 block of West Seventh Street. The 33-year-old caller reported his windshield had been shot three times with a BB gun and his rear door window had been shattered with a 40-ounce beer bottle.

• At 5:36 p.m. police received a report of a theft from a vehicle parked at Winona Street and Broadway. The caller said her purse containing about $100 in cash, gift cards, and financial cards, was taken from the vehicle.
