Shot fired in Kellogg (11/10/2013)
On November 7, the Wabasha Police Department was dispatched to the city of Kellogg for a “shots fired” report. Upon arrival, officers met a male individual in the street who informed them that his roommate had discharged a firearm in the residence and injuries were unknown.

The Wabasha County/Goodhue Emergency Response Unit was dispatched to the scene, along with Minnesota State Patrol and Wabasha County deputies. Law enforcement agencies set up two perimeters in the surrounding areas and residents within the areas were evacuated.

Area schools were also in lockdown. A deceased male was later located within the residence. The cause of death is pending investigation.
