WH Auxiliary Fantasy of Trees November 18-23 (11/13/2013)
Winona Health Auxiliary Holiday Designers group creates holiday items through a labor of love for Fantasy of Trees

What started out about a year ago as a room full of seasonal leftovers, clearance Christmas items, leftover greenery, donated goods, and other festive pieces, has been lovingly transformed into more than 200 beautiful holiday centerpieces and amazing wreaths.

The women of the Holiday Designers team, which is part of Winona Health Auxiliary, have been working on these masterpieces for at least nine months and have completed them just in time for the upcoming Winona Health Auxiliary Fantasy of Trees.

The Fantasy of Trees will be held at the Winona Clinic from November 18 through November 23. These designer holiday centerpieces and wreaths will be offered for sale beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning, November 21 until 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 23.

Along with the beautifully crafted centerpieces and wreaths, there will be more than 85 trees which have been donated by generous businesses, organizations, and individuals and they will be up for silent auction bid throughout the week. In addition, there will be a Ladies Night from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, which will feature the designer wreaths and centerpieces, specialty vendors, refreshments, music and other surprises. All of this can be enjoyed as a community and is open to the public.

Proceeds from the sale of trees, centerpieces, wreaths and crafts will go towards purchasing new sleeper chairs for hospital rooms to increase the comfort of patients and their visitors, and to provide professional healthcare scholarships.

For more information, please call Winona Health’s Volunteer Services office at 507-474-3328. Don’t miss the most beautiful event of the holiday season.
