Winona County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors will hold their regular monthly board meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, at the Ag Service Center, 400 Wilson Street, Lewiston, Minn.
The Hiawatha Valley Civil War Round Table will meet on Thursday, November 14, at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Winona County History Center, 160 Johnson St., Winona. Our speaker will be Tom Hosier of Rochester, who will present an interesting program on “Antietam Battlefield Revisited.” All are invited and refreshments will be served.
The John Latsch Memorial Board will meet on Thursday, November 14, at 10:00 a.m. in the Winona National Bank North Board Room, 204 Main St. The purpose of the meeting is to review the financial reports.
The Winona Spinners and Weavers Guild will meet at the Winona County History Center, Education Room, Saturday, November 16, at 1 p.m. The guild, started in November 1983, will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. Winona Area Shrine Auxiliary will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 18, at Westfield Golf Club. The menu will be warm chicken salad, green beans, salad, roll and dessert. Minnesota City Community Readers will meet on Thursday, November 21, at 6:30 p.m. at the former Minnesota City School, 115 Iowa Street, Minnesota City. The book being discussed is Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold. The December meeting will be on the 12th and the selection is Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton. All readers are invited whether or not they have read the book. Ideas for book selections will be welcomed.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Minnesota sponsors free support groups for families who have a relative with a mental illness.
