Buggs, Joyce L. (11/27/2013)
Joyce L. Buggs, age 86, of Minnesota City, Minn., was called to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 23, 2013.

Joyce was born on December 11, 1926, in Winona County, to Fred and Louise (Wamhoff) Krage. On July 12, 1947, she was united in marriage with Andrew T. Buggs; he preceded her in death on June 19, 2012.

For many years, she was employed as the Assistant Manager at Sears. She was a member of St. Martinís Evangelical Lutheran Church and was involved with the Altar Guild, selling Scrip for St. Martinís School, and Bible studies.

Andy and Joyce built the Sundown Motel and the house they lived in. They enjoyed spending time outdoors, bird watching and traveling. The Black Hills of South Dakota was one of their favorite spots. They were also active as volunteer naturalists for Whitewater State Park.

Joyce is survived by her sister, Shirley (Roger) Myers, Minnesota City, MN; many nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andy; sister, Arlene; brother, Junior; nephews, Bruce Krage and Terry Myers; and niece, Michelle Myers.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 26, at St. Martinís Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Reverend Richard A. Moore officiated.

Joyce was laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Casketbearers were Scott Krage, Kent Myers, Seth Myers and Nathan Myers.
