Chalmers, Heidi C.
Heidi C. Chalmers, age 33, of Ridgeway, Minn., passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at her home. Heidi was a mother, daughter, sister, and beloved friend.
She was born on November 10, 1980, in Polson, Mont. Heidi lived in Polson, Mont., as a young child, and later moved to Missoula, Mont., where she lived until the age of 27. She attended Meadow Hill Middle School, and graduated from Hellgate High School.
Heidi was an incredible artist and spent a lot of time during her high school years expressing this creative gift. Heidi personified love and generosity. She could find the positive qualities in any person and was not judgmental. She possessed an indomitable spirit that even the toughest of lifeís obstacles could not stifle. Heidi exhibited great strength of character in her life and overcame daunting challenges, always with courage and perseverance. She stood by her beliefs without fear.
Heidi was also an exceptional cook and anyone who knew her well benefited from this talent. Heidi had a love and empathy for children and animals that is unmatched. She spent the last years of her life with her lifelong partner Jarad enjoying motherhood and caring for the animals on the Schossow family farm. Heidiís spirit will live on in each of us that had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
She is lovingly survived by her father, Dan Chalmers, mother, Brenda (Terry) Stinson; lifelong partner, Jarad Schossow, and their children Lillyan and Jayden; sister, Teresa (Steve) Trippe, nephew, Kaleb Trippe, father-in-law, Byron Schossow, mother-in-law, Lisa Schossow, brother-in-law, Jordan (Elizabeth) Schossow; sister-in-law, Shayla Schossow, a lifelong friend, Vanessa Presley who was like a sister to Heid and her family, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home. The Reverend Richard A. Moore will officiate.
Heidi will be laid to rest in Bush Cemetery, Ridgeway, Minn. On the way to the cemetery, Heidi will have one last trip to the family farm. Following the committal service, a celebration of Heidiís life will continue at the Witoka Hall Ė all are invited to attend, even if they are unable to come to the service.
Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Saturday, November 30, 2013, from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
A memorial service is being planned next summer for Heidiís family and friends in Montana.
