Noon Lions seek donations for Christmas project (12/08/2013)
From: Jack Krage

Once again, itís a festive yet busy time of year for the Winona Noon Lions. On December 18, the Lions and Winona Volunteer Services will fill packages of food for 550 families in the Winona area. In a yearly tradition, these two organizations provide the fixings for an entire holiday feast for those less fortunate in our community. The Lions meet and pack the hams, potatoes, pie fillings, fruit, vegetables and all the delicious components for a great meal. Later, volunteers load these meals into the vehicles of the families that will receive the gift of food.

Our next holiday tradition occurs on Christmas Day. The Noon Lions, as well as Lions of other clubs, serve a warm Christmas dinner to people who may be alone for the holidays. This day is full of laughter and smiles from the Lions and their guests as we celebrate this wonderful day together.

If you would like to contribute to these worthwhile causes, please send your donations to: Winona Noon Lions, 104 East 4th, Winona, MN 55987. Help us bring holiday cheer to many in need. Thank you, and have a happy holiday season.
