Signs in park violating city code? (12/22/2013)
From: Dick Hanson

In my review of the City Code, it speaks specifically to Park Signs in Chapter 43, Article VII, 43.43, (k) Sign Districts, (6) Park Signs, (iii): “temporary signs associated with special events or activities approved by the City Council. Such signs shall be located within the park in which the approved activity is located and shall be removed upon completion of the activity.” (Examples: Steamboat Days, Winter Carnival, Victorian Fair, rallies, marathons, etc.)

I don’t think Windom Park is used for any of the activities being advertised.

Comply with the City Code. Take them down; they are tacky.
