  (ARCHIVES)Back to Current
Thank you (01/15/2014)
From: Rocky Rohn

I would like to thank all the caring, wonderful, and loving people that hired me to portray Santa Claus and enter their homes and the homes of their relatives and friends. I want to also thank all of the people that were at each place I entered.

Words cannot express how truly amazing and caring you all are.

This year all of the donations you gave me went to Ashley Palubicki. She is a young lady who has had to fight several medical issues, including a bone marrow transplant, radiation, treatments, blood biopsies, etc.

I do not know Ashley personally. When I met her, her mother, her grandmother and grandfather, I presented Ashley with a check for all donations given. It was the most that was donated since I first portrayed Santa Claus back in 2001.

The job of portraying Santa Claus has grown and grown each year. It has come to the point where I almost have to hire Santa Junior. I get very, very busy. I love meeting new people and friends, plus all the children. Thank you to all the businesses and managers, along with the owners too.

Please, Ashley, remain strong. Never give up and keep fighting. A lot of people are praying for you.

When I gave you the check, you cried--along with a few others. I guess because you all feel a stranger cared. Yes, I do, but the care really came from all that hired me and everyone at each place I entered, including the children. Without all these people probably we would not have met. I am just a guy that gets dressed in red and am like the errand boy. The real thanks go to all those involved in giving and for those who are at those places. You’re all so caring and special.

Next Christmas, with God willing, more hearts will be touched. Bless you all.
