Mary A. Kintzle, 82, of Winona, passed away on January 25, 2014. She was born in Welland, Ontario, Canada, where she met and married her husband, Al (Elwood) Kintzle. Together they raised four children, while moving multiple times for job transfers, and eventually settled in Winona, 42 years ago. Her career was in nursing home administration. During retirement, she enjoyed antiquing and traveling with Al.
Mary was very proud of and is survived by her children and grandchildren: David L. Kintzle, Dubuque, Iowa; Leslie (Greg) Scaborough, Michael and Jenna; Brad (Erin) Kintzle, Carissa and Matthew, Broomfield, Colo.; Paul (Rachel) Kintzle, Dawson, Ethan, Gavin and Katelyn. Her husband, Al, predeceased her on November 4, 2006.
According to Mary’s wishes, there will not be a formal service. The Reverend Monsignor Richard Colletti will be officiating at St. Mary’s Cemetery for a private family service. In lieu of this, the family will be hosting an informal celebration of life at Betty Jo’s Restaurant on Saturday, February 1, 2014, from noon until 2 p.m.
