Join us each Friday morning throughout the month of February for outdoor exploration on snowshoes. Bring your own snowshoes or use the park’s. Please call ahead if you plan to bring a large group.
Saturday, February 8
10 a.m.-12 p.m. Geo-caching by Snowshoe
Learn how to use a GPS unit to find hidden treasures called geo-caches. Bring your own GPS unit and snowshoes or borrow the park’s! Depending on the snow accumulations, we’ll either hike or snowshoe to find a geo-cache at the park.
Saturday, February 15
6-8 p.m. Full Moon Snowshoe
We’ll begin at the Visitor Center with a brief astronomy presentation and then head outside to view the celestial skies under a full moon. Depending on snow accumulations, we’ll either hike or snowshoe. Bring your own snowshoes or borrow the park’s.
Sunday, February 23
9 a.m.-12 p.m. Pioneer Home Cross Country Ski
Join us at the Whitewater Valley Visitor Center for a brief introduction before we caravan into the Whitewater Wildlife Management Area to cross country ski the 1.6 mile former stage coach trail to the stone Marnach House.
